A baby nearly drowned near the Maritime Museum on Monday morning, according to officials.
The incident happened shortly after 11:20 a.m. at 1492 North Harbor Dr. The father and a few onlookers jumped into the water to rescue the infant girl, according to officials.
A bystander also threw a flotation device to the father and his child in the water.
The child has been taken to the hospital and her dad says she's expected to be okay.
"We'll make sure she's fine and has a dry New Year's," he said.
