San Diego police officers are investigating two armed robberies minutes apart at two gas stations – one in San Diego and the other in La Mesa.
A man entered the Thrifty gas station at University Avenue near Interstate 805 around 3 a.m. Monday, pulled a hand gun and demanded cash from an employee.
The suspect ran from the gas station with the money.
About half an hour later, police were called after a man entered an Arco Gas Station near Palm Avenue and Spring Street. He also pointed a gun at the clerk, demanded cash and threatened the clerk.
Officers are not saying if the two crimes are related.
No injuries were reported.
