The California Highway Patrol is investigating a crash in Escondido that may have been the result of a high-speed pursuit.
The vehicle crashed around 1:45 a.m. on Interstate 15 at Via Rancho Parkway.
One local television station is reporting a woman is in custody, accused of traveling 130 miles per hour during a high-speed pursuit.
The CHP and Escondido police could not confirm that information to NBC 7 San Diego.
The vehicle’s side airbags deployed and the entire passenger side of the car was torn off in the crash.
