A brush fire in Bonsall was extinguished after burning for nearly 25 minutes Monday, according to CAL Fire.
The incident started around 11:50 a.m. at Gopher Canyon Road and Raza Court just north of Escondido. Two structures were threatened, but there were no evacuations.
It took firefighters less than a half hour to extinguish the blaze.
CAL Fire said the flames ignited after a resident was using a lawnmower to clear brush. The blaze spread quickly and temperatures in the area exceeded 95 degrees.
"This should be a good reminder for people that are out there looking to clear defensible space," said CAL Fire Capt. Nick Shuler. "His intention is to do the right thing."
No injuries or damage were reported, according to CAL Fire.
