An employee at a Spring Valley recycling center was assaulted by one of two suspects during a robbery Tuesday morning, the Sheriff's Department stated.
At about 10:30 a.m., the two suspect entered the center on Elkelton Boulevard and pointed their guns at the employees, ordering them to lie down on the floor.
The suspects demanded money and assaulted one of the employees. The employee sustained minor injuries, the department said.
After taking money and the employees' wallets, the suspects fled into an apartment complex across the street.
Deputies searched the area and checked several units in the complex, but could not locate the suspects.
Investigators do not know how much money was taken.
