Veteran long-snapper Mike Windt will be playing with the San Diego Chargers for at least four more years, the team announced Saturday.
The Chargers say they’ve re-signed Windt to a four-year contract.
Windt joined the Bolts in 2010, serving as the team’s long-snapper ever since. He handled all snaps in the 2011 season and 2012, until a broken hand ended his season in week 11.
He broke his hand in the Nov. 18 game against the Denver Broncos.
In three seasons with the Chargers, Windt – who’s originally out of Cincinnati – has appeared in 37 games. With this new four-year contract under his belt, that number will rise.
