If you've gotten a jump on spring and planted a few flowers, you'll want to be sure they're protected as a frost advisory is in effect for San Diego Monday night.
Temperatures will dip into the mid to upper 20s in the coldest wind-sheltered valleys south of Riverside and away from the foothills according to the National Weather Service.
As always with a frost advisory, the NWS says sensitive plants may be damaged, so plant owners are advised to cover their crops.
The advisory will last throught 8 a.m. Tuesday.
