Deputies responded to reports of gunshots fired outside of a Spring Valley bar early Sunday morning, officials confirmed.
Authorities say gunfire was reported at around 12:10 a.m. outside of Fannie’s Bar located at 9143 Campo Rd.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they did not locate a shooting victim or suspect.
Officials spoke with several patrons inside the bar and questioned possible witnesses outside. Deputies said none of those individuals appeared to have any involvement with the shooting.
Witnesses told deputies that those involved in the shooting had fled the scene prior to officials arriving.
While investigating the shooting, deputies were notified of a victim at Grossmont Hospital who had arrived at the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He was transferred to Sharp Memorial.
The victim’s current condition is unknown. Deputies are working to confirm whether the man is connected to the shooting outside Fannie’s Bar.
No other suspects or victims have been identified in the shooting.
