Whole Foods Recalls Smoked Salmon

 Whole Foods Market has announced a recall of a smoked salmon product because of fears of listeria contamination.

The grocery store chain has announced its recalling 4-ounce packages of Whole Catch Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon sold in 18 states including California.

An initial recall involved products sold in a number of states however the updated recall includes a lot code sold here in San Diego.

Check your pantry for the product with the UPC 0 99482 40880 0 and lot code 7425A2297A or 7425A2298B.

The smoked salmon is sold in rectangular, flat packages with black and gold wrapping.

No illnesses have been reported related to these lot codes. A sample of the product tested positive for listeria.

Customers should dispose of the product in the garbage and wash their hands immediately to avoid any potential cross-contamination. 

Full refunds will be given at the store.
